Over the past five years, since our last anniversary celebration, CUSB Bank has seen many changes.
-COVID: Like the rest of the world, COVID changed our lives and our business. We closed our lobbies for a time and our employees rotated schedules in attempts to keep the CUSB Bank healthy. Online account opening was started and all special events were halted. Moving forward a couple of years, our family really appreciates being back together and able to host large events again.
-SIXTH GENERATION: Two gentlemen have joined the bank family and are the sixth generation of the Thomson family. Tom and Samantha (Thomson) Hall gave birth to son, Theodore (Teddy), who has hilariously starred in some of the bank’s TikTok videos, produced by his Mom, Samantha, the bank’s Social Media Consultant. William and Elizabeth Thomson gave birth to a son, Jack (named after great grandpa) just a few months ago. CEO Scott, and wife, Stephanie, are so excited to be grandparents! Welcome to the CUSB family, Teddy and Jack! You’re so cute!
-LOGO CHANGE: We changed our logo in January, 2022.
It reflects the following:
Heritage- We are fortunate to be a family-owned bank, founded in 1888 by Robert Thomson, a Scottish immigrant. Our Scottish heritage is reflected in the curves, font, and green signature color.
Agriculture-The lines are reflective of crop rows, a nod to the strong agricultural communities that we serve.
Pillars-CUSB Bank has five core pillars that we base our business on: Communication, Trust, Collective Responsibility, Caring, and Pride. The pillars reflect strength in our team and the support we give to the communities that we are fortunate to serve.
-ACQUIRED TWO NEW LOCATIONS: In March, 2022, we acquired the Waverly and Shell Rock locations of Security State Bank. We are so excited to welcome them to the CUSB Family! (insert building photos)
-REMODEL: We have remodeled our Osage and Cresco locations, creating more efficient space for our employees and customers.
