The Rural Chemotherapy Expansion Fund was created to support the Coordinated Care Alliance between RHSHC and oncology specialists at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Chicago in Zion, IL. This alliance offers advanced oncology care to area residents. Patients will receive coordinated care from both RHSHC and CTCA® providers. In addition, clinical telemedicine services will connect patients via real-time videoconferencing to CTCA Chicago oncologists for regular visits close to home. This collaboration marks the first CTCA coordinated cancer care alliance in the state of Iowa.
Donations are still needed for this fund. Gifts can still be made toward chemotherapy services at RHSHC by making a cash or check donation made to The RHS Foundation designated for chemotherapy. Please send gifts to Regional Health Services of Howard County Foundation, 235 8th Ave W, Cresco, IA 52136. For questions about donating, please call 563-547-6345.
